Dressing Up

Do I sound like a stuffed shirt? Maybe but I always thought that there comes a time when we need to wear our best regalia sometimes even if the formality of the occasion doesn’t necessarily call for it. Why you ask? Why should I wear a dress or a suit when jeans would be more comfortable? I think it’s because what we look like on the outside manifests much about how we feel on the inside.  Poppycock you say?  I don’t think so. There are of course times when relaxed or casual attire is appropriate but this is not the case all the time.

  1. I think what we wear is a reflection of our self worth and equally as important the people we plan to spend time with. I have found that often we are more casual with our family and those we feel closest to than we are with our friends, acquaintances or coworkers. The gym is another story. Ten minutes into a workout I am not only dripping wet, my hair is a mess and I thank the Lord I didn't put on mascara

  2. When I see the female of the species in the gym after a rigorous spin class I am always amazed when they are dressed to the nines on their way out those glass doors. I feel that when I walk out as well I want to look my best because EQ has helped me look and feel better inside and out.
